The Muslim Scout
This is to indicate that all Muslims are welcomed in scouting.

The Wheat Spike
To symbolise what is good and the thirteen grains per spike indicate the thirteen attributes of Allah; knowing them is an obligation upon every accountable person.

The Star
With its five points, indicates to the five prayers. The Messenger peace be upon him said what means: “among the better of Allah’s slaves are those who observe the sun, the moon, and the stars and shadows to perform the prayers”. Related by AL- TABARIY.

Be Prepared
This motto is derived from a verse in the Qura’an in which Allah orders us to learn and prepare before act.

The Lily
With its three strands indicates the levels of scout: Joey, Cub and Scout. With fives stars which represent Australia.

The Two Stars
Both stars with their ten pointers indicate to the ten scout rules. It is also said that five pointers per star symbolise the spread of the scouts over five continents.

The Circle
Symbolises the bond and support that embraces all through every progressive level of scouting.

The Moon
It is to indicate knowing the first of every Lunar month by observation.

5th Bankstown Group
It is the 5th Scout Group that is established in Bankstown a major suburb in Sydney-New South Wales.
